New Delhi, March 28: Google has officially announced that its “pure Android” experience tablet Nexus 7 is coming to India soon at an attractive price of Rs. 15,999. Nexus 7 is priced at Rs 15,999 for the 16 GB variant in India and available via the Google Playstore. The store mentions shipping time of 3-7 days so the device rollout should begin latest by the first week of April. Let's take a look at what the tablet has to offer in terms of features.
Google's Nexus 7 came to Indian stores soon after Google chairman Eric Schmidt visited India. He apologized for the non-availability of Nexus products in India. "I apologize for the lack of Nexus devices in India. But this is something we are working on. Part of the problem is that our products are more expensive than what they should be here in India. Then there are certification issues. We want a fully-serviced market," he said.
Made by Taiwanese hardware manufacturer Asus, the Nexus 7 is a 7 inch tablet with HD display and has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The screen also has a back-lit IPS display and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.
