New Delhi: Gionee has launched the Elife S5.1, in India at Rs 18,999. The device will go on sale in India from the first week of December.
The Elife S5.1 smartphone was launched in China a few weeks back, when it held the crown of the world's slimmest phone with a 5.1mm body. But the crown is now being held by Oppo R5, which has a 4.85mm body.
The Elife S5.1 features a 4.8-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage includes 16GB. It runs Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) with Gionee's Amigo 2.0 UI.
The smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front facing snapper, and packs a 2,100mAh battery to keep the device running.
The company is also touting LTE connectivity, but support for Indian LTE bands is not known. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, and OTG connectivity. The device will be available in Black, White, Pink, and Mint Green colour variants.
