New Delhi: General Motors India has launched a refreshed version of its popular Chevrolet Cruze sedan in India at Rs 13.75 lakh. The new Cruze comes with new styling and a whole host of added safety features.
The facelift model features only one engine option, 2.0l VCDi diesel, and comes in three trims, two with manual transmissions, and one with automatic.
The new Cruze is equipped with the same engine that was powering the old Cruze. The engine delivers 166 PS power and 380 Nm torque, and comes with either a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
To enhance the looks on the front, the new model now features a dual-port front grille with a neatly tucked ‘Gold Bowtie' Chevrolet logo, , a redesigned front and rear bumper and new dual bezel headlamps. The design allows wheels of the vehicle have also been changed. On the rear, there are hardly any changes.
The facelift means that the new Cruze now exhibits a sporty character in addition to its already aggressive and muscular styling.
On the inside, the model has features like blue ambient lighting matched with a set of black leather interiors. The integrated infotainment system and premium speakers coupled with the three spoke steering wheel with steering mounted audio controls adds to the premium feel. The Cruze also features a Push-button start, steering-mounted cruise control and an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror. On the safety front, the Cruze is equipped with two front and two side airbags enhancing safety in case of a collision.
