Freedom 251 has been officially launched in New Delhi by Noida-based firm Ringing Bells. The pre-booking for the Rs. 251 smartphone has started toady and is now open. You can buy one by heading to the official website freedom251.com.
However, it seems that users are unable to complete the purchase. When we tried to buy unit, the site took us to a completely blank page. Then the next time it redirected us to the same buy now page with columns for shipping address.
The site has now shut down and the company says that it has got approx 6 Lacs hits per second and was over loaded with great response from buyers. Also it will upgrade the services and will return within or before 24 hours.
All those who haven't bought the phone yet will have to now wait another day to book their unit.
Steps to book your Freedom 251:

- Click on Buy Now button and select the quantity.
- Ringing Bells is charging Rs. 40 for shipping the smartphone to your home so the total money you will need to pay is Rs. 291.
- Add your shipping address, accept the terms and conditions and click on Pay Now and proceed to the payment page.
The smartphone comes with a 4-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (expandable by up to 32GB), runs Android 5.1. and is priced at Rs 251.
