Greater Noida: We are reporting LIVE from the Auto Expo 2014 in Greater Noida. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has just launched its much-anticipated Honda Activa 125.
The new Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 4 stroke, 125cc, single cylinder motor that delivers a max power of 8.6bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5500rpm. The engine comes mated to a V-Matic transmission.
For suspension there is spring loaded hydraulic type at the rear and telescoping forks at the front. While the rear has the conventional 135mm drum brakes, the front comes with 190mm disc brake. The new scooter is equipped with tubeless tires and the new Activa 125 will be available in four colours.
Honda Activa has always been a segment leader in its category since 1999. Recently the model received Honda's much discussed Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine. The new model will further consolidate HMSI's position as the leading scooter maker in the country.
The new scooter will go on sale around the advent of next fiscal.
