November 21: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that credit offtake is not taking place as expected and it is a cause for worry.
“We are on the verge of opening up insurance sector to foreign investment a little more,'' he said.
“We may achieve direct tax collection target; indirect tax remains a challenge,'' he added.
Unsustainable tax demand will not get us anything but a bad name, the minister said.
