New Delhi: Celkon Mobiles has launched its first AR Rahman-themed smartphone, the AR45, under the RahmanIshq series for Rs 7,999. The company calls Celkon RahmanIshq AR45 a music smartphone.
It features 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 MediaTek processor. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and supports dual-SIM with dual standby.
It has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera alongside an LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It has 512MB of RAM and features 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, Micro-USB and 3G. The device also includes a 2000mAh battery. The company has not detailed talktime and standby time figures.
"I always believe that technology is very important in the world of music. RahmanIshq stands testimony to this and is a concept dedicated to spreading awareness of how technology needs to blend seamlessly with music for optimum output," the chief guest at the launch event AR Rahman said.
Earlier, the company launched three Android smartphones for the Indian market, the Celkon Monalisa ML-5, Signature Swift A112 and Campus A10.
