New Delhi, Oct 29: As festive season is fast approaching many of us might be planning to buy a new smartphone and information about what other mobile consumers are searching will be quite handy.According to the data collected by a study of online preferences of about one million people who visited the themobileindian.com in September this year we present you the top 25 phones searched phones by Indian.In the list six of the top 25 handsets are from Samsung, five each from Micromax and Sony Mobiles, two from Nokia and Karbonn and one each from LG Mobiles, HTC, Asus, Intex and iBall. Apart from that 23 of the top 25 handsets are Android-based ones, while two are feature phones.Nokia Asha 311 (Rs 6,550)The Nokia Asha 311 is a compact touch screen device that comes with a bright and colourful 3 inch scratch resistant capacitive display with polarization filters for a better visual experience. With WiFi and 3.5G connectivity, users can experience blazing fast internet and downloads on this device.The Asha 311 comes with pre-loaded social client for accessing Facebook, Twitter and many other social networks. It also has the most popular messaging service "WhatsApp". The Nokia Asha 311 also features a 3.2 megapixel camera and pre-installed Nokia Maps, in addition to the 15 level pre-bundled versions of Angry Birds. The Dual SIM phone is based on Android 2.3.6 operating system and comes with a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen.However, to make it cheap, Micromax has sacrificed a lot of features including 3G, proximity sensor, and GPS.Samsung Galaxy Chat GT B5330 (Rs 8500)The Samsung Galaxy Chat GT B5330 is the upgraded version of the Galaxy Y Pro and comes with a much improved user interface along with the all new Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system.The Galaxy Chat comes with a 3 inch TFT LCD display with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution. It runs on an 800 GHz processor and has 512 MB of ROM. The device comes with 131 MB built-in storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. The device also has a rear-facing 3 megapixel camera and a front-facing 0.3 megapixel camera.The handset is equipped with three sensors - Gravity, Light and Proximity.
