Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 The Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 is the first smartphone from the company to come with a FullHD (1920x1080 px) display, which is 441ppi on its 5-inch IPS screen. The phone offers good built and feels great to hold. The aluminium chassis also feels durable, but due to its unibody design, the battery is also non-removable. Clearly, Turbo is a marked improvement over the Canvas 4 in terms of aesthetics and build quality. The Canvas Turbo uses Sharp's Continuous Grain Silicon (CGS) technology which enables lower power consumption and more components like the display controller and LCD interface to be integrated into the panel. This reduces the need for extra components to be connected to the display. The Full HD resolution of the IPS panel offers crisper text and sharper colours. The display is bright and sunlight legibility is pretty good as well. It's powered by the familiar 1.5GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589 processor and offers 2GB of RAM. Of the 16GB internal memory, 12.5GB is available to the user, with no card slot to expand it. The 13-megapixel camera on the back also shoots 1080p FullHD video, while the front houses a 5-megapixel camera. All of this supports Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The A250 is a quad-band GSM handset with single-band 3G. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and DLNA. The Canvas Turbo comes with gesture controls to perform actions like unlocking and accessing the phone without using hands. Answering a call is easy, just put the phone to your ear and put the call on speaker by flipping it over. Looking away from the screen will pause the content displayed on the phone. The device gets its juice from a 2000 mAh battery.
