New Delhi: Twitter is reportedly testing a new feature called "Fave People", which lets users view tweets from their favourite accounts in one place.
The feature offers the ability to favourite other users by tapping a star against their profiles and track their tweets in the 'Fave People' column. The app currently uses a swipeable menu across the top for navigation in between sections like Home, Discover, Activity, and more. The feature will also allow users to get notifications when their favourite user(s) posts a new tweet.
The column has a button that takes users to the 'Following' screen and mark people who they follow as favourites.
The alpha version of Twitter Android app also has many experimental features that may or may not make it to beta and final versions. Twitter implements features based on the feedback offered by users part of its alpha testing program. So it is not certain that this feature will make it to the final version of Twitter's native apps.
The Fave People timeline collects all of such preferred users in one place and is basically an extremely simplified approach to Twitter's existing 'Lists.'
