Samsung Galaxy Grand 2The Grand 2 is the successor to its previous launch the Galaxy Grand. The device comes with a 5.25 TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. Such a large screen makes the device good for watching movies, playing games and e-reading. The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system-on-a-chip (SoC) running at 1.2 GHz. This is a mid-range quad-core offering and more powerful than similar processors from Mediatek and Broadcom. There's 1.5GB of RAM, which should be more than enough for smooth multitasking. Samsung is providing 8GB of internal storage space, which you can extend up to 64GB more using a microSD card. Both SIM cards use the GSM standard and 3G speeds of up to 21Mbps are supported. Dual-band Wi-Fi n and Bluetooth 4.0 LE are standard, as are the acceleration, magnetic, proximity, rotation and orientation sensors. The phablet boasts an 8 MP camera with LED flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 rather than the older versions that seem to be predominant on new phones even today. The handset is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery and the company claims it can provide up to 10 hours of playback and 17 hours of calls backup.
