New Delhi: Sony has launched its mid-range Sony Xperia M2 dual smartphone at Rs 21,990.
The Xperia M2 Dual is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone that comes with a 4.8-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8226) coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The device comes with 8GB of built-in storage, with microSD card expansion up to 32GB.
The smartphone comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera which offers features like ‘auto scene' recognition and HDR, while other camera features include Timeshift burst, picture effect and social live. The phone also comes with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone is backed by a 2300mAh battery that the company promises to deliver talk time up to 14 hours, standby time up to 693 hours.
Connectivity options of the device include 3G (HSPA+), GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and Micro-USB.
At this price point, the Xperia M2 will compete against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S III, Lenovo S820, and the Huawei Ascend P6.
