To obtain great results, Sony suggests the users to focus on an onject 15-45cm away from the device and to make sure that the background is 5 metres away from the focussed object in order to get a sharp focussed shot.
The Background defocus app is compatible with devices running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or higher.
