No 2. iPhone 5S

The iPhone 5s comes with the first ever 64-bit chip in a mobile device, called A7. The device also has a new "M7" chip that is otherwise known as a "motion coprocessor." It is designed to work alongside the A7 processor, capturing motion data from the phone's compass, accelerometer, and gyroscope to power a new generation of health and fitness apps. Alongside the M7 chip, Apple has also introduced new CoreMotion APIs that can take advantage of the M7 coprocessor to create improved fitness and activity apps that are unavailable on similar devices. The M7 coprocessor is able to measure and track all movement data, even when the phone is asleep, and because it's a secondary processor, it saves battery life while allowing pedometer-style apps to run in the background.

The new iPhone 5S comes with Apple's new operating system for iPhone, the iOS 7, which brings some major changes to the iOS multitasking system, the software's Notifications, Siri, the lock screen, and more. The iOS 7 brings in lots of “borrowed” features from other mobile OS's, but plenty are unique to iOS as well. “Because iOS 7 learns when you like to use your apps and can update your content before you launch them. So if you tend to check your favorite social app at 9:00 a.m. every day, your feed will be ready and waiting for you. That's multitasking in iOS 7. It knows what you want to do before you do,” Apple says regarding multitasking.

With iOS 7, you get an all-new card-based interface quite similar to the tab switching interface in mobile Safari. It displays the preview of the app you are running along with the logo of the app. To kill an app running in the background all you need to do is swipe up on the card. You can close up to 3 apps at a time.

iPhone 5S ensures smarter multitasking as iOS 7 intelligently schedules updates during power efficient times such as when your device is on and connected to Wi-Fi to ensure that it does not impact battery life. Apps can be woken up or launched periodically to download the latest content in the background after a time interval. It also adapts to network conditions so if there is good coverage then it is a good time to fetch the latest updates. Apple says the new software ensures that you don't have to launch an app and tap on the refresh button or use pull to refresh to download the latest content. The latest content will be waiting for you when you launch the app in iOS 7.

Similarly, you can utilize Siri, Apple's voice-guided digital assistant, to perform different actions. Apple says it has made improvements to Siri in iOS 7, and they really shine on the iPhone 5s. The Siri now has a cleaner interface and now sound more natural. Siri is also dramatically faster at answering questions. Siri can also handle more actions (playing voicemail, controlling iTunes Radio, etc.). The improvements, coupled with the faster processor of the iPhone 5s, make a good overall experience.
