New Delhi: Korean handset maker Samsung is likely to unveil a new Windows Phone. Famous tipster @evleaks has posted a photo of a new device called Samsung SM-W750V “Huron”, which it claims is the company's forthcoming Windows Phone 8.1-powered device. This particular model is headed to Verizon Wireless, a network carrier in the US.
The new model has the same form factor as the Galaxy S4 model. It comes with rounded form factor, sensors and the front camera at the top, the power button on the right, volume rocker on the left and a physical button at the bottom. Even the size looks a lot similar, which means the phone will have a 5-inch 1080p display.
It is likely that Samsung will unveil the device at the MWC later this month along with the Galaxy S5.
Getting onto the Windows platform will certainly reduce Samsung's over-dependence on Android OS. This won't be the first time that Samsung would launch a Windows Phone smartphone, having launched and abandoned its Ativ series of devices earlier.
