New Delhi: Reports suggest that Samsung has begun mass production of 5.25-inch QHD (Quad HD) AMOLED display set for the upcoming Galaxy S5.
The 5.25-inch display, which will use SUPER AMOLED technology, comes with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. The display will use have the diamond pixel arrangement, something similar to what we have seen on Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3.
Last month the Korean handset makrer confirmed that it is working on 2K resolution display with 560PPI and plans to introduce 4K resolution display phones by 2015.
The Galaxy S5 is expected to sport a Snapdragon 800/805 processor/64-bit Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 16-megapixel camera, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Reports suggest that the S5 will be a waterproof and dustproof phone that will come with fingerprint technology.
Previous rumors have also indicated that the Galaxy S5 will feature a uni-body metal design. Even a new camera technology to improve the image quality and feel could be seen in the S5.
