New Delhi: Piaggio will launch the all new Vespa S in India on March 4, 2014. The vehicles have started arriving at dealers and the bookings are already on. The on-road price of the new Vespa S is Rs 82,868 in Pune.
There are quite a notable differences between Vespa S and Vespa VX. The Vespa S comes with a squared headlamp, differently shaped mirrors and repositioned tail-light. Other changes include a powder coat painted three-spoke alloy wheels and a different instrument panel. These changes are bound to give the new vehicle a premium and retro look.
Piaggio claims that they have made the seat more comfortable and there is a cubby hole added to the front apron. The alloy wheels are painted in black.
Powering the Vespa S is the same motor from the Vespa and Vespa VX. The 125cc 3-valve engine delivers 10.06PS of power and 10.6Nm of torque. The monocoque steel body is also shared with the other Vespas in India.
