New Delhi: Homegrown handset maker Micromax has turned up the heat in the entry-level tablet segment by launching Micromax Funbook P280 at Rs 4,650. It is packaged along with a leather case featuring a keyboard to let users stay productive while on the move.
The tablet comes with a 7-inch TFT WVGA touchscreen that offers 480 x 800p resolution. Under the display lies an intuitive user interface that can completely be attributed to the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS. It offers a 0.3MP webcam on the front panel to facilitate video conferencing.
The P280 is powered by a single core ARM Cortex A8 processor delivering a speed of 1GHz. There's 512MB of RAM and its total internal memory amounts to 4GB which can further be expanded by up to 32GB using a microSD card. The device gets its juice from a 2400mAh battery that can cough of the juice for standby time of close to 250 hours.
You'll also find a full-sized USB port to connect data dongles, and Wi-Fi connectivity. And just like the Canvas smartphones, the tablet comes preloaded with various apps including Spuul, Opera Mini, Kingsoft Office, M!Live.
The Micromax Funbook P280 can now be purchased via the official eStore for a price that stands at Rs 4,650.
