New Delhi: LG has launched the LG G Pro 2 in select Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam, Indonesia and others. First announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 event held in February 2014, the device has already hit LG's home country of South Korea for KRW 999,900 (roughly Rs 58,000 without contract). The company has not revealed specific pricing, or an entire list of countries.
It is a 5.9-inch phablet that comes in two storage variants: 16GB and 32GB. It features a 5.9-inch full-HD IPS display with a 1080x1920 pixel resolution and sports a slim bezel.
The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, clocked at 2.26GHz with an Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The G Pro 2 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+ (Optical Image Stabiliser Plus) and LED flash, and has a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The G Pro 2's rear camera supports 4K Ultra HD recording, Magic Focus, Natural Flash, Flash for Selfie, and Burst Shot.
The device sports microSD card but there is no information on maximum storage capacity supported.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options. It is backed by a 3200mAh battery and will be available in Titan Black, White and Wine Red colour variants.
