New Delhi: Smartphones in India now cost less than Rs 2000. Intex has launched Cloud Fx smartphone with a price tag or Rs 1,990 which according to the company will give a lot of users access to the Internet.
The smartphone will initially be available only on Snapdeal.com, with plans to take the product to 400 towns in India, especially the Tier 2 and 3 cities.
The phone has a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixel) display and offers 2G/3G dual SIM support. It is powered by a 1GHz processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 128MB of RAM. It features a 2-megapixel rear camera, and according to the Snapdeal listing, no front-facing camera.
The device offers 46MB of built-in storage, with support for microSD cards (up to 4GB). Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The handset weighs 104 grams, and has dimensions of 115.9x62.11.8mm. It comes with a 1250mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talk time and a standby time of 200 hours.
Earlier, Spice Mobiles announced its Firefox phone, the Spice Fire One Mi – FX 1, for Rs 2,299.
