New Delhi: The purported specs and features of HTC's next flagship smartphone, codenamed the HTC M8 or HTC One 2, have appeared online.
Interestingly, Twitter user @evleaks, which has been pretty accurate, labels the HTC M8's specs as “preliminary,” suggesting that things still under development.
According to @eveleaks the HTC One successor would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8974), with 2GB of RAM. Just like the HTC One, the M8 will sport a full-HD (1080p) display with slightly bigger screen size at 5-inch.
The device will also feature an UltraPixel rear camera and a 2.1MP front camera, he adds. He adds that the new phone will run Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Sense 6.0, a new version of HTC's UI skin, running on top, and will support Gigabit WiFi (802.11ac).
It is worth pointing out that @evleaks has called these specifications 'preliminary,' which implies that there could be some changes, in the future or perhaps the specifications are of a prototype, which is still under development.
The user had earlier said that the phone will launch in the first quarter of 2014 in the US.
