New Delhi: HTC has launched two new smartphones - the Desire 616 Dual SIM and One (E8) Dual SIM - in India. The Desire 616, costing Rs 17,200 will be available from July 12. The One E8 carries is priced at Rs 34,990 and will be available by the end of the month.
The Desire 616 dual-SIM device (regular SIM+Micro-SIM) featuring a 5-inch display with an HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution, and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel autofocus rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device is fueled by a 2000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 3G.
The other device in the lot, the HTC One (E8) Dual SIM is a watered down version of the original HTC One (M7). It features a curvier, plastic body (polycarbonate) instead of a metal casing. The One (E8) comes with a full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) resolution, which translates to a pixel density of 441ppi, and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8975AC) processor, alongside 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the HTC Sense UI.
It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card). The smartphone comes with a BoomSound speaker setup on the front side of the E8, to give loud audio. Connectivity options include HSPA, Cat 4 LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS with with A-GPS, GLONASS. The One E8 is a dual-SIM device. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and also has 5MP clicker on the front. It is powered by a 2600mAh non-removable battery, measures 146.4x70.7x9.9mm, and weighs in at 145 grams.
