New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Gionee has launched a new phablet, called the GPAD G5, at Rs 14,999.
The GPad G5 comes with a 5.5 inch HD IPS( 1280×720) display protected with Dragontrail glass. The device is powered by a HexaCore 1.5 GHz processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal stoarge with the provision to extend it to 32GB.It is a dual-SIM (GSMA+WCDM) device which runs Android 4.4.2 OS out of the box and is equipped with an 8MP auto-focus rear and 2MP front camera. The device is fueled by a 2400mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 288 hours of standby time, up to 15 hours of talk time on 2G, and up to 12 hours talk time on 3G.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. It also sports dual crystal loud speaker with DTS, and will be available in Black and White colours.
The Gionee Gpad G5 measures at 157.3x77.6x7.9mm, and weighs 104.6 grams.
Gionee had launched the Gpad G4 in February this year. The device offered a 5.7-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels resolution; a Cortex-A7 1.5GHz quad-core processor and PowerVR Series5XT GPU; 1GB of RAM; 13-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash; 5-megapixel front facing camera and 16GB of inbuilt storage.
