Operating system
The Gionee Elife E7 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the company's custom Amigo 2.0 UI layer on top, much like its predecessor. The Amigo interface has received an upgrade in the E7, with lot of changes, improvements and additional features. Some of the clear differences are:
Guest Mode in Notification Panel
New Notification Panel with tabs, no top right quick settings icon
Suspend Button
Fake Call feature
Drag down from anywhere on the home screen to lock it
Phone accelerate, Battery monitor apps for phone optimization
Camera
The Gionee Elife E6 sports a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with a second generation BSI sensor, along with an LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a 28mm lens. The smartphone comes with a beautiful camera app interface for changing the settings, modes and a lot more. Both cameras support 1080p video recording.
Connectivity
Both the versions of E7 come with a single SIM slot (micro SIM) that may not augur well with many Indians who usually use two SIM cards. Connectivity options on the Gionee Elife E7 include Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS, 3G and 4G (for 32GB variant).
