New Delhi: Gionee has launched a mid-range CTRL V5 smartphone in India at Rs. 12,999. The smartphone is now available from company's online store.
The CTRL V5 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that offers a 4.7-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582V) processor with a Mali 400 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD (up to 32GB). It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
On the imaging front, the device offers an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and also has a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS and Bluetooth.
The device packs an 1800mAh battery, which according to the official listing, delivers up to 14.5 hours of talk time and up to 324 hours of standby time on 2G network.
The company earlier announced the official availability of its Elife E7 Mini smartphone in India at Rs 18,999.
