New Delhi: A spam link to a supposed video of a woman dressed in a pink bikini has gone viral on Facebook as more and more users fall for the trick.

The video, which is titled: "Look what this girl is wearing at the beach in front of thousands of people!" has been shared by thousands of users.

The link description says: "During the summer holidays, this girl took the opportunity to do something unheard of! I bet no one can do the same."

But once users click on it, they're taken to a video embedded on a Facebook page, both of which are fake. The link is then shared on their Facebook profile too, thereby appearing in the newsfeeds of their friends and spreading even further.

Another popular link which delivers the same results shows a man apparently being eaten whole by a snake.

Users are encouraged to fill in an online questionnaire, and it is believed to be to drive traffic to certain websites. The social media site requests its users to ignore both links.
