Hero MotorCorp's RNT bike comes with a technology that is so far unheard of in the two-wheeler market. The RNT is powered by a four-stroke, 150cc, liquid-cooled, diesel engine, which will be offered with a turbocharger as well. Peak power of 13.5bhp at 4000rpm with 3.56kgm of torque at 1600rpm, is transferred to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox. The Hero RNT is a diesel motorcycle concept designed for use in rural areas and farms. The RNT looks unconventional, but packs in loads of innovative features. Adding the hybrid tag to this scooter is a 1KW motor mounted to the front wheel giving it two wheel drive. This motor can be controlled either independently via a secondary throttle, or in conjunction with the standard chain drive. Other features of RNT include the wide, flat loading surfaces with strap bars, multi utility folding front, rear and side racks, removable secondary LED headlight with internal Li-ion battery, and an LED headlight.
