The car is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine found on the City producing 118 BHP of power. In addition, the 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel engine producing 100 BHP of power will also be available. The diesel version will take on the likes of Toyota Innova and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The diesel variant is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of above 20 km/l.
Honda mobilio also carries the influence of the Amaze model on the inside. It is a spacious car that offers decent comfort to passengers in the first and second rows. The third row is also spacious as it can accommodate two full sized adults. The boot gives passengers large storage space which can be amplified by folding the third row of seats.
Other features include three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioner, twin dials and music system.
Prices are expected to begin at Rs. 7.50 lakh for the petrol, going up to Rs. 12 lakh for the top-end diesel. The Honda Mobilio will be manufactured at the Tapukara plant, Rajasthan, which will most likely begin operations around April this year followed by sales soon after.
