New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is ready to launch its entry-level Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone in India on August 26.
Earlier in July the company said that it will sell the Redmi 1s in India for Rs 6,999. The company had also announced the Redmi Note for Rs 9,999.
The Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.
The device offers 16GB of in-built storage and a microSD card slot that further expands it up to 64GB. The device gets its juice from a 2400mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Xiaomi's MIUI layer on top. There is also an 8MP rear shooter and a 1.6MP front camera.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot functionality, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB OTG connectivity options. It weighs 158 grams, and has dimensions of 137x69x9.9mm.
At the same time, Xiaomi has also listed its 5200mAh power bank for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs 799. Xiaomi has also put up a screen protector and flip covers for pre-order on Flipkart. The flip covers are available for Rs 559 each, while the screen protector will cost Rs 179.
