Tata's subsidiary Jaguar is all set to launch its new saloon XE in the country. The sedan is scheduled to make its debut on 3rd of February i.e. next month at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016.
The all-new XE model is the first car in the segment to come with aluminum-intensive monocoque.
With the launch, it will compete against BMW 3-series, Audi A4, Volvo S60 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the segment.
The new sports saloon will be assembled at company's facility located at Pune and will be the most affordable offering from the company till date. Booking for Jaguar XE sedan has been started, and interested buyer can book the car at the nearest Jaguar showrooms by paying booking amount of INR 5 lacs.
Mr Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India said that the new Jaguar XE is a car having a whole new level of innovation never seen before in the category.
The car is coming from the lineage of outstanding Jaguar sports saloons and the company is confident enough that its dynamic design and performance will create new standards and turn out to be a game changer in the class.
The launch of Jaguar XE in petrol variant this year will surely start a new journey in the region and mark a milestone in the expansion of Jaguar product in India.
Speaking about its features and specifications, the outer profile of new Jaguar XE gets attractive structure and from front, the car carries similar Jaguar design language while the headlight cluster is sleek having Bi-xenon lamps.
The radiator grille is quite wide and gets metallic treatment, lending a sporty appeal to the car.
The car rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels while the rear profile receives compact boot lid and two exhaust pipes.
Likewise many other Jaguar vehicles, XE is sports modern styled interior design to meet demands of the today's competitive market.

The most attractive feature that the car gets is the heads-up display technology which will utilize lasers and project important stats like navigation instructions.
On the entertainment front, XE features advanced infotainment system that allows the occupants use voice commands, Bluetooth connectivity and SD card based navigation.
Under the bonnet, new Jaguar XE will work on the powerful 2.0-litre mill that has two variants, both receives 4-cylinder and are turbocharged, but comes in different state of tunes.
The base variant will produce 200 PS power and 320 Nm of torque, while another model can produce 240 PS and yields maximum torque of 340 Nm.
The engine of new Jaguar XE comes coupled with eight-speed automatic gearbox and is able to push the car from 0-100 kmph mark in mere 5.1 seconds.
Well, one thing that must be noted about the new car is that XE is produced using a recycled aluminum that also adds to its fuel-efficiency and makes the vehicle as one of the most environment-friendly cars on the planet.
Recently, it has been reported that the British automaker achieved best annual sale performance in the year 2015.
The company retailed about 4,87,065 vehicles which are about five percent higher as compared to the previous year.
Out of this, a total of 83,986 Jaguar cars has been sold while Land Rovers touched the 4,00,000 mark for the very first time with about 6 percent of total growth.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover operations Director said that, this year has been very significant for the company, with various models introduced across the range.
The addition to their portfolio is the new Jaguar XE and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
