New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki today unveiled a new sportier version of Baleno RS hatchback at the on-going Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The car is expected to compete with Volkswagen Polo GT TSi and Abarth Punto. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS launch in India is scheduled for this year's festive season.
The new BoosterJet series from Maruti Suzuki has been placed in this car which gives direct injection with turbocharging. The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged motor in the new Baleno RS produces 110 bhp of max power, with a torque of 170 Nm. A 5-Speed manual gearbox is part of this engine.
Sporty new Baleno RS comes with new front bumper extensions and bi-xenon headlamps with DRLs. New diamond cut alloy wheels and slim rain guards adds to the sporty looks. Coming to the rear, a new dual-tone bumper featuring faux diffuser is an addition. In the interiors, Baleno RS features sportier upholstery, a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, instrument cluster with MID and auto climate control.
