New Delhi: Asus has quietly launched the Zenfone 5 Lite A502CG smartphone in India at Rs 8,999. The phone is available via Flipkart, which the exclusive online retailer for all Zenfone smartphones in the country.
First introduced in Philippines in mid-November, the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite A502CG comes with a 5-inch qHD IPS display.
It is a dual-SIM device that is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor and comes with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage includes 8GB, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB). The device runs Android 4.4 with ZenUI.
Asus ZenFone 5 (A502CG) offers an autofocus 8-megapixel rear and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA resolution) front-facing camera.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, AGPS, and 3G. The device measures 72.8x148.2x10.8mm, weighs 160 grams and is only available in a Deep Black colour variant from Flipkart.
Asus also launched its PadFone mini smartphone-tablet hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 15,999 last month. The device was initially announced at a CES 2014 event.
