New Delhi: Asus has slashed the price of 16GB version of its Zenfone 5 smartphone. Following the price cut, the 16GB model will cost Rs 9,999. Earlier, for the same price you could get the 8GB version of the device.
ZenFone 5 comes with a 5-inch IPS 720p HD display and runs on a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 CPU with 2GB RAM.
It has an 8-megapixel PixelMaster camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front facing camera and a 2,110mAh battery.
The phone, in India, runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean topped up with a custom user interface. The phone supports external storage up to 64GB.
ZenFone competes against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note, the Moto G second generation, and Micromax Canvas Nitro.
ZenFone 5 is available in four colors — Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, and Champagne Gold.
