New Delhi: Apple is all set to unveil two models of iPhone 6 - with 4.7" and 5.5" screens. There are also speculations that the technology giant will also unveil its first wearable technology. While the smaller iPhone will have a 4.7-inch screen (a popular size among Android phones), the larger model's screen will measure 5.5 inches diagonally, making it a “phablet” that would compete with Samsung's Galaxy Note and other phones.
In addition to a new iPhone, analysts expect the company to unveil the so-called “iWatch,” a heavily anticipated smartwatch that would mark the most audacious Apple product launch in almost half a decade. However, some say Apple may postpone the iWatch announcement altogether, allowing it to stagger its big announcements and keep this week's focus squarely on its new phones.
In addition, The iOS 8 release is likely to be announced alongside the iPhone 6 following Apple's trend of announcing devices on Tuesdays and releasing iOS updates. It should be noted that iOS 8 doesn't support iPhone 4 so you'll need one of the following devices to get early access to iOS 8: iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad 2, 3rd and 4th-gen iPad, iPad Air, 5th-gen iPod Touch, iPad Mini, and iPad Mini with Retina display.
Here's how you can watch the event online:
You'll be able to watch the event through the iTunes app on any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
There'll also be a special event app icon appearing on the home screen of Apple TV devices on the day of the keynote.
It'll also be streamed on Apple.com, but you'll need to have a Mac running at least Snow Leopard and Safari 5.1.10 to watch.
