New Delhi: Apple will start selling two new iPhone models on Friday. It is likely to refresh its iPad lineup later in the year. Here are details on the number of iPhones and iPads that Apple shipped in recent quarters, with per centage change from same period a year earlier.
— Quarter ending June 29, 2013: 31.2 million iPhones (up 20 per cent), 14.6 million iPads (down 14 per cent)
— Quarter ending March 30, 2013: 37.4 million iPhones (up 7 per cent), 19.5 million iPads (up 65 per cent)
— Quarter ending Dec. 29, 2012: 47.8 million iPhones (up 29 per cent), 22.9 million iPads (up 49 per cent)
— Quarter ending Sept. 29, 2012: 26.9 million iPhones (up 58 per cent), 14.0 million iPads (up 26 per cent)
— Quarter ending June 30, 2012: 26.0 million iPhones (up 28 per cent), 17.0 million iPads (up 84 per cent)
— Quarter ending March 31, 2012: 35.1 million iPhones (up 88 per cent), 11.8 million iPads (increase of about 2.5 times)
