The movie's cast include two-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln and two-time Academy Award winner Sally Fields as Mary Todd Lincoln. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt portrays President Lincoln's oldest son Robert. Further, Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones plays Thaddeus Stevens, the Republican Congressional leader of the day.
