Mumbai: Here's a Google Doodle to celebrate the indomitable spirit of cricket! The glorious game, being celebrated as ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is starting from Saturday, February 14 and will end on 29 March.
Through the doodle, Google has given its tribute to the game which was officially announced yesterday, in a ceremony at Christchurch's Hagley Park.
The doodle features an umpire, a bowler, two batsmen, a fielder and a wicket keeper. It has been featured globally on the search engine giant's homepage.
The opening game of the tournament will see New Zealand play against Sri Lanka and Australia facing England.
The most-anticipated game, however, between India-Pakistan is on Sunday, February 15.
The 11th edition of the cricket tournament will see 14 teams batting and bowling away to glory. A total of 49 matches will be played overall. This time the World Cup will also see the first-timer Afghanistan.
