You can rely on your old charger or dock
Apple has changed the dock connector of the iPhone 5 entirely. It's called Lightning, and is reversible and 80 per cent smaller than its predecessor. If you are seriously thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 5 and have a mountain of old accessories from previous generations of the iPhone and iPod, then you may feel disappointed. The company says the eight-pin connector was necessary to keep making thinner devices. "I have an iPhone 4 and I've bought a lot of these connectors and cables and things like that, and the idea of having to go out and buy them all again doesn't exactly appeal to me," a consumer said.
