2. Micromax A110- Canvas 2The Micromax A110- Canvas 2 is a decent upgrade of the A100. The A110 has a 5-inch 262k colour capacitive touch screen with an IPS panel sporting a resolution of 480x854 pixels. Despite low resolution, the viewing angles are good, and the under-sun visibility on the phone is decent. The Micromax A110 offers good build quality as it does not creak at any of the edges. The silver coloured frame around the edges also gives it a nice look.
On the inside, the A110 has a 1GHz Dual-Core processor and runs an Android v0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. It has an internal memory of up to 4GB, RAM memory of 512 MB and an external memory that is expandable up to 32 GB using a micro SD card.
The A110 comes with an 8 MP camera on the rear and 0.3 MP camera on the front. You will observe that pictures taken in low-light conditions and indoors (without the use of the LED flash) will be a bit grainy. The dual-led flash fulfills its purpose. The quality of videos captured through the back camera seems to be average.
Micromax has skinned some elements of the user interface, such as the app icons and the notification tray. The notification tray includes toggles for settings such as Wi-Fi, Brightness, Rotation, Bluetooth, GPS, Data and profiles (for alerts and other notifications).
Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE and 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS feature and video recording. Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2 comes with a battery of 2000mAh, providing 5 hours of talk time.
