New Delhi: French car maker Renault today launched an updated version of its compact car Pulse, with prices starting at Rs 5.03 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Though there are no exterior and mechanical updates, the company has equipped with vehicle with more features.
The upgraded version of the Pulse comes with new automatic headlamps, steering mounted controls and a height adjustable driver seat for better comfort. It will also come with sophisticated interiors with an all new dual tone dashboard.
Other features include smart key access with engine start and stop button, auto folding outside rear view mirrors and an integrated 2 DIN music system with Bluetooth and USB. Safety features in the car includes ABS and EBD, dual airbags and crash sensors.
"Pulse is an important part of our product portfolio and we have made several product enhancements to make the 2015 Pulse even more attractive and exciting for customers,” Sumit Sawhney, CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney said at the launch of the car.
The new Pulse has been launched in two variants which include a 1.5 litre diesel and 1.2 litre petrol engines. The diesel versions of Pulse are equipped with the world renowned 1.5 litre K9K dCi engine and the petrol variants have the powerful and efficient 1.2 litre XH5 engine.
Renault manufactures sedans Fluence and Scala, hatchback Pulse and SUVs Duster and Koleos at its Oragadam manufacturing facility in Chennai.
Sources said the company also has product refreshment plans for Scala. Both Pulse and Scala will continue to be an important part of Renault's product portfolio going forward, they added.
