Reliance Industries

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, resides in the world's most expensive home, called Antilia, with his wife and three children. The home, called Antilia, sits on Mumbai's tony Altamount Road and cost an estimated $1 billion to build. Antilia is a 400,000 square foot residential building which is 27 stories high, but since some ceilings are double-height, it's closer to the size of a 40-story building. Antilia has a multi-story garage with space for 168 cars, a health spa, multiple swimming pools, a yoga studio, nine elevators in the lobby, a floor with vehicle maintenance facility, three helipads, ballroom, a 50-seater movie theatre and lush green hanging gardens. Inside, two design motifs—the sun and the lotus—are repeated throughout the mansion in rare materials like crystal, marble, and mother-of-pearl. The home is named after a mythical island in the Atlantic Ocean.
