New Delhi: Xiaomi is all set to launch its new smartphone, the Mi Max, in India on June 30. The Mi Max will be a massive 6.44-inch display which qualifies as big, and was launched in China last month.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi VP revealed the launch date on Twitter saying, “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans! Stay tuned.”
There is no word of the India pricing but if based on specifications of the Mi Max, it will compete with YU Yureka Note, Lenovo Phab Plus, Samsung Galaxy A9 and more.

The company has announced three variants of the Xiaomi Mi Max in China — 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants which was priced at 1,499 Yuan (Rs 15,300 approximately), 1,699 Yuan (Rs 17,500 approximately), 1,999 Yuan (Rs 20,500 approximately) respectively.
Xiaomi started sale in China last month, and Xiaomi revealed that it had received over 16 million registrations for the first flash sale.
Xiaomi Mi Max features a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor or a Snapdragon 652 processor. The 32GB variant features the Snapdragon 650 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. The 64GB and 128GB variants are powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset coupled with 3GB and 4GB of RAM respectively.
The samrtphonea also comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support, 5-megpaixel wide-angle selfie camera. It also has a 4,850mAh battery with Quick Charge support. In terms of connectivity the smartphone includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and Bluetooth.
