New Delhi: In a move to mark the beginning of the Mi 2nd anniversary sale tomorrow, Xiaomi has announced price cuts on the Mi 4 and the current flagship Mi 5 smartphones.
The announcement came from Xiaomi’s India head Manu Jain, who also informed of the price cuts for the Mi 4 and the Mi 5 on Twitter.
Xiaomi Mi 4
The Xiaomi Mi 4 is getting a permanent price cut of Rs 4,000 on the mi.com website. The old price tag of the smartphone was Rs 14,999 and will now be available for Rs 10,999. The price goes live from tomorrow during the anniversary sale.
If we recall the specifications, the smartphone features a 5-inch full HD 1080p display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera, and a 3,080mAh battery.
Xiaomi Mi 5
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is getting a temporary price cut of Rs 2,000, which will be valid only during the three-day sale. The old price tag will come down from Rs 24,999 to Rs 22,999. This price cut is valid on only the black and white variants during the three-day anniversary sale.
This year’s flagship smartphone from Xiaomi features a 5.15-inch full HD display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with a 32GB internal storage, there is no microSD slot to expand the storage. It flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording capabilities and 4-megapixel selfie camera. It is powered by 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge support.
Xiaomi Anniversary deals
Xiaomi’s highlight is the Re 1 flash sale, which is likely to take over on all the three days. This sale will have be limited to some the Xiaomi products, which include Mi 5, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max smartphones, Mi Power Bank, and the Mi Bluetooth speaker.

- The company will offer Bluetooth speaker at a price drop deal, which will be available for a Rs. 700 discount, and will be priced at Rs. 1,999 for those three days.
- The Xiaomi Mi 5 Gold colour variant will be sold with a free Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro Gold.
- The Xiaomi Mi 4i will be available with a free USB cable and a USB Fan.
- The app-exlcusive offers have, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max, and the 20000mAh Power Bank.
