New Delhi: Samsung Electronics America and AT&T came together to unveil the new Galaxy S7 Active. The Galaxy S7 active will go on sale exclusively at AT&T from Friday.
This is the fourth Active model from Samsung and AT&T and the earlier models were - Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

Here are the 5 things that you need to know about the new Galaxy S7 active
- The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active will be available in Sandy Gold, Titanium Grey, and Camo Green colour variants. It will be available at $26.50 (Rs. 1700 approx) for a 30 months contract or $33.13 (Rs. 2200 approx.) a month for 24 months, which has brought the priced to $799 (roughly Rs. 53,000).
- The new Active model is shatter resistant for drops from up to 5 feet or less on a flat surface. Also it features IP68 dust and water resistance, and can survive immersion in water for up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes.
- It features a 5.1-inch display with a bigger 4,000mAh battery and a shatter-resistant screen.
- It comes with snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. You can add up to 200GB of space with a microSD card. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel camera in the front and a fingerprint reader.
- The Galaxy S7 Active has an additional shortcut button above the volume rocker on the side of the phone, which is configured to launch users favorite apps when pressed or hold it down.
