With festive season round the corner, Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the refreshed Micra with an automatic transmission and the new 'Sunshine Orange' exterior colour option in India.
The new variant of its popular hatchback, Micra CVT is up for sale at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Micra, which is the Japanese company's maiden rollout from Chennai plant is also the most exported hatchback from the country. It is available in over 100 markets globally and the company has sold more than 6 million (60 lakh) units.
The new model with a new interiors and automatic transmission come without any price increase, said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.
“The affordable and accessible Micra offers a charming visual appeal with its new Sunshine Orange exterior colour complemented by the edgy, European-style all-black interior. These new options come without any price increase. We're confident this package will resonate with Indian customers,” Arun said.
The new Micra comes with the globally acclaimed Nissan X-tronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that delivers more mileage than a manual transmission for added value in terms of fuel economy.
Micra is offered in petrol, petrol CVT and diesel powertrains, with the diesel variant returning a maximum mileage of 23.08 kmpl.
The new Micra will be on sale at all 232 Nissan showrooms across the country from today.
