New Delhi: Motorola has launched its fourth-generation Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones in India. Both smartphones are equipped with almost similar hardware and features, with just a few key differences. The Moto G4 Plus is the slightly powerful variant and will have a smartphone comparison with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB).
With both Motorola and Redmi enjoying massive popularity amongst people, it will be interesting to see who will take the lead this time.
Here is a comparative analysis of Moto G4 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to let you choose the right one:
Price: The Motorola’s Moto G4 Plus is available in two storage variants – 16GB variant with 2GB RAM at a price of Rs 13,499 and 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM at Rs 14,499. It is exclusively available on Amazon India. On the other hand the Redmi Note 3 (32GB storage with 3GB of RAM) is priced at Rs 11,999 and is available at Mi.com and Amazon India.
Features: The Moto G4 Plus comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, or 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage which can also be expanded. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 runs on Snapdragon 650 hexa-core chipset with four Cortex-A53 cores and two Cortex-A72 cores, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. In the Xiaomi smartphone there is a hybrid SIM card slot where you can either use two nano SIM cards or one nano-SIM card and one microSD card, but not both. One of the good things about the Moto G4 Plus is that it runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, whereas Redmi Note 3 runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Camera: The new smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus, phase detection auto focus and dual LED flash, meanwhile Redmi Note 3 comes with a 16-megpaixel rear snapper with PDAF and dual LED flash. Up front both the smartphones come equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Battery and connectivity: Moto G4 Plus is armed with a 3,000mAh battery with TurboPower charging support. While the Redmi Note 3 is equipped with 4,050mAh battery. In terms of connectivity the G4 Plus features Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual-SIM card slots and 4G LTE with VoLTE support and Redmi note 3 features Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac and VoLTE calling.
