New Delhi: Motorola unveiled the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus, though only the Moto G4 Plus is ready to go on sale midnight today exclusively on Amazon. The Moto G4 Plus will be available in two versions — a 2GB/16GB variant priced at Rs 13,499 and a 3GB/32GB variant priced at Rs 14,499.
The Moto G4 Plus features a 5.5-inch display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor. The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow wrapped under the Moto Pure UI.

Full HD display
One of the big upgrades of the fourth generation Moto G is the presence of a full HD display. The Moto G4 Plus features a 5.5-inch display with a full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution, a pixel density of 401ppi with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to keep the smartphone away from scratch and dust.

Moto G4 Plus Camera
Motorola users have always complained about the camera quality, which has been addressed seriously by the company. The new Moto G4 Plus comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and support for Phase Detection Auto-focus (PDAF) and laser auto-focus. It is one of the very few smartphones in this price range to come with the laser auto-focus feature. It includes other camera features like the Professional mode with manual controls, Auto HDR, Panorama and more. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with F2.2 lens and wide angle shots.

Fingerprint Scanner
Nowadays, finding a fingerprint scanner smartphone in the mid range smartphone segment has become common. But this is the first time that Motorola has added this feature to its smartphone. It is a square-shaped button placed upfront under the display. The company claims that it can store up to five different fingerprints and can unlock the device in about 0.3 seconds.
Battery
The previous generation – the Moto G3 had a 2,470mAh battery, however compared to that this time the Moto G4 Plus comes with a bigger 3,000mAh battery. The battery also has a TurboPower charging support, which is Motorola's own fast charging technology. Motorola claims that the battery can last a whole day on a single charge and charging the battery for just 15 minutes will give one up to six hours of usage.

VoLTE support
VoLTE support makes the smartphone future-proof. Voice over LTE lets network operators handle cellular voice calls over LTE networks, resulting in HD voice clarity, faster call connectivity and more. This feature was missing on the previous-generation Moto G smartphones.
