New Delhi: Micromax has launched a new laptop, the Canvas Lapbook L1160, which is priced at Rs 10,499. The Windows 10-based laptop is exclusively available via Amazon India.
The Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 comes with 11.6-inch display and a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor coupled with Intel HD Graphics and 2GB of DDR3 RAM.
The device has a 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via SD card or an external HDD. In terms of connectivity the Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, and one Ethernet port.

The Canvas Lapbook L1160 weighs 1.1kg, measures 295x199x18mm and features a VGA (0.3-megapixel) webcam. It comes with a 4100mAh battery, and offers a stereo speaker setup. It is available in Black colour variant only. The Canvas Lapbook L1160 does not feature 3G connectivity via a SIM-card slot and does not feature a detachable display.
Recently, Micromax announced a complete revamp of its market strategy, in order to fight slow growth in the smartphone sector. Although it is a core smartphone brand, but the company has slowly expanded its focus to products which include tablets, PCs, LED TVs and laptops.
Micromax is also looking forward in its 'Make in India' strategy and increasing domestic production in order to lessen its dependence on imports.
