New Delhi: LG has launched its X Screen smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs 12,990. The smartphone will be exclusively available via Snapdeal. The main highlight of LG X Screen is its dual-display, which has a 4.3-inch In-cell touch display and a 1.76-inch secondary display.

Dual-display: The LG X Screen comes with an additional display, which is basically an ‘Always On’ display. Placed on top of the main display, it has a 520×80 pixels resolution. This strip of display gives users quick access to contacts, apps, and features, and shows all the important notifications. The Always On display shows key information, which includes time, date, battery status and notifications without having to turn on the phone. The secondary display also allows users to take calls or check notifications without going to the main display.

Specifications: The LG X Screen features a 4.3-inch In-cell touch display with HD resolution. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB internal storage and supports expandable storage up to 1TB via microSD.

In terms of photography the LG X screen comes with 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and NFC. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery.

Comparison: The latest smartphone by LG is on a slightly expensive side if the specifications are considered as smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy On7 and Asus Zenfone Max comes under Rs 10,000 and has the same Qualcomm’s low-end 410 processor. Also, it can be compared with some of the popular budget smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and Moto G 4th generation which are priced at Rs. 11,999, Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 12,499 respectively.
