New Delhi: LG has launched its ‘K’ series of smartphones in India, the K7 and K10. The two smartphones are priced at Rs 9,500 and Rs 13,500 respectively, and are also the first smartphones manufactured in India.
The K-series of smartphones flaunts photography capabilities as well as the 'premium UX' features similar to the high-end devices. Some of the other features include 2.5D Arc Glass design along with Gesture Shot, Tap and Shot, and Gesture Interval shot function for taking images and more.
Here are some of the things you need to know about today’s launch
LG K7: The smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The LG K7 features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera with screen, and a 2,125mAh battery. There is also 16GB internal storage on offer, which can be expanded via microSD card. In terms of connectivity the smartphone include dual-SIM card slots (nano SIMs), 4G LTE support (on SIM Card 1), VoLTE and VoWiFi support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
LG K10: The smartphone flaunts a 5.3-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card. The device has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, VoLTE and VoWiFi support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Design: Both the smartphones has a curved finish and 2.5D glass and the LG calls design ‘pebble design’. The devices feature a textured back panel, which the company claims is best for a perfect grip. Also like other LG smartphones the two upcoming devices feature a back button setup.
Make in India smartphone: LG has announced that its ‘K’ series will be the first smartphones to be manufactured in India. LG has set up a manufacturing plant at Noida, UP and also has an in-house Industrial design team. It has set up an R&D center in Bangalore and has plans on manufacturing a million smartphones at its Noida plant this year.
